A MOMENT TO REMEMBER

He lays there

staring at the fire through the cracking wall in her eyes

wondering if HE,

he can break it with a grain of sweetness 

or the strength of will and determination.

As she lays there staring back,

she feels the butterflies rise from the dead and slowly take over.

Suddenly the fire burns through the cracks in the wall as the grains of sweetness hit.

And in that very moment

she realized that not every moment is perfect,

but this one is.

As the word love takes shape in their lips when they touched,

she shared her butterflies with his 

and the fire in his eyes grew with passion.

As the moment passes,

worry takes over her,

as the fire in his eyes grew,

so did hers.

She lays there now

staring at the fire growing in his eyes

wondering if she 

She has to be the one to build the wall around the fire in his eyes

or if she can be the one to let the fire burn free.

As  his heart races for one reason,

her heart races for another.

As both their fires grew in one synchronized moment

they both realize that not every moment is perfect,

but this one,

This one is one to remember
